Sanitary Inspection of District:—The following is a
statement showing the number and nature of inspections made,
the number of informal and statutory notices served, with
the result of such notices, for the year 1925, as reported by
the Sanitary Inspector.

One thousand two hundred and ninety-four preliminary or
informal notices were served in respect of 1,155 houses.
One hundred and seventy-three statutory notices were
served in respect of 141 houses.
The necessary work was executed in all but 132 eases, which
were not completed by the end of the year. In 38 of these, the
work was actually in hand at the close of the year.
Table III. gives a summary of the nuisances abated, and
sanitary improvement carried out under the supervision of the
Inspectorial Staff.
