Infantile Mortality:—There were 46 infant deaths during
the year (including transferable deaths), giving a rate of 60
per thousand registered births, a decrease of 10 per thousand
on last) year's figures when there were 59 deaths and a rate
of 70. The infantile death-rate calculated on the Registrar(General's
figures is 61.8 per thousand births. The infant death
rate for illegitimate children was 119 per thousand illegitimate
births.
