One thousand and forty-eight preliminary or informal
notices were served in respect of 1,157 houses.
Ninety-seven statutory notices were served in respect of
136 houses.
The necessary work was executed in all but 85 cases,
which were not completed by the end of the year. In 78 of
these, the-work was actually in hand at the close of the year.
Table III. gives a summary of the nuisances abated, and
sanitary improvements carried out under the supervision of
the Inspectorial Staff.
