In one house there were six cases, in one house five cases, in
one house four cases, in one house three cases, and in eight
houses two cases, and in the remaining sixty houses, one
case.
74 or 69 per cent, of the cases were treated in the Borough
Isolation Hospital, Gap Road.

Scarlet Fever.—The total number of cases notified during tne year was 94 from 72 houses. The attack rate was 1.6 per thousand of the population. There were no deaths.

In Table A. the deaths, from pneumonia are in excess of the
notifications received, and it would appear as if all cases were
not notified. The explanation probably lies in the fact that
the deaths include all forms of pneumonia, whereas notifications
are confined to Acute Primary Pneumonias and Acute Influenzal
Pneumonias.
