South No. I) Compulsory Purchase Order 1972, and the Waltham
Forest Housing Part III (Markhouse Road Area South No.2)
Compulsory Purchase Order 1972, were confirmed by the Secretary
of State for the Environment with minor modifications.
The Waltham Forest Housing Part III (Markhouse Road Area
North) Compulsory Purchase Order 1972, was confirmed by the
Secretary of State for the Environment without amendment.
Following Official Representations made during 1972, Public
Inquiries were held during 1973, in respect of the Waltham Forest
Housing Part I I I (Apsley Road, F.I 7.) Compulsory Purchase
Order 1972, The Waltham Forest Housing Part I I I (Markhouse
Road Area South, No.I I I) Compulsory Purchase Order 1972, and the
Waltham Forest Housing Part I I I (Union Road/Queens Road, E.I 7.)
Compulsory Purchase Order 1972.
The decisions of the Secretary of State for the Environment are
awaited.
Following Official Representations the Council took the following
action during the year:-
(a) II Clearance Areas were declared in February, in respect of
houses in Acacia Road, Beachcroft Road, Cecil Road, Cobden Road,
Harrow Road, High Road and Howard Road, E.II.
(b) 3 Clearance Areas were declared in November, in respect of
houses in Lincoln Street and Norman Road, E.II.
