(c) Compulsory Purchase Orders confirmed
The Waltham Forest Housing Part 111 (Cathall Road Area) Compulsory
Purchase Order, 1969, comprising 5 clearance areas was confirmed by
the Ministry of Housing and Local Government during the year.
Local Public Inquiries were held in September in respect of the
Waltham Forest Part III (Sidmouth Road Area) Compulsory Purchase Order,
1969, and in December in respect of the Waltham Forest Part III (Markhouse
Road Area) Compulsory Purchase Order, 1970.
The Minister has confirmed the Sidmouth Road Area and his decision is
awaited with regard to Markhouse Road Area.

(iii) Food and Drugs Act, 1955 (Inspection and Supervision of Food Premises)

The following inspections were carried out at the under-mentioned food premises in accordance with the requirements of the Public Health Act, 1936, Food and Drugs Act, and Food Hygiene (General) Regulations, I960, Ice-Cream (Heat Treatment) Regulations, 1947/52, Factories Act, 1961, Leyton Corporation Act, 1950, Essex County Council Act, 1952, and relevant legislation.
