DENTAL CLINIC
Mr. G.P.L. Taylor submits the following report on the work
of the School Dental Services:-
Again there have been only two full time dental surgeons
employed, but, as I had hoped, we have had more help from part
time surgeons. This has resulted in the staff being able to
inspect at school over twice the number of pupils that were seen
during 1961. This means that some children are now inspected
twice a year, thus reducing the number of casual and emergency
inspections.
I am glad to say we have also been able to increase the
number of fillings in permanent teeth by over 2,000
We have hopes, this year, of recruiting some full time
surgeons, so that we can look forward to offering a more stabil
ized service to the public.
