FOOD POISONING
Nineteen cases were notified during 1962 and none was fatal.
There was one small familial 'outbreak', in which the infecting
agent was Salmonella Kiambi; and two in which the agent was not
identified.
One of the single cases was due to Salmonella Typhi-murium,
and in three cases the infecting agent was Salmonella Kiambi,
Staphylococci and C1. botulinum respectively.
Poliomyelitis
No case of Poliomyelitis was notified during the year.
Tuberculosis
The following table shows particulars of new cases of tuberculosis and of all deaths from the disease in the Borough during 1962:-
