In addition to those listed above, special help was given to a
patient disabled by arthritis. With the advice and co-operation of
the Head Occupational Therapist at Whipps Cross Hospital where the
patient was treated for tuberculosis, we were able to provide
equipment to facilitate bathing following discharge and also to
obtain attachments for knife and fork to enable him to deal more
easily with his meals - a benefit not only to the patient but also
to his wife who was relieved of considerable strain.
