WALTHAMSTOW CHILD WELFARE SOCIETY
This voluntary society with headquarters at 'Brookscroft'
Forest Road, Walthamstow, was founded in 1914. The chief
present-day object of the society is the physical and moral
welfare of pre-school children, and is supported by voluntary
funds with the assistance of a grant from the Local Health
Authority.
Clinics are held as follows:-
Tuesdays and Fridays.. Massage, Remedial Excercises and
Sunlight Treatment.
Wednesdays Weighing Clinic and Cookery Lecture.
Thursdays Infant Welfare for old and new cases.
Two doctors in attendance.
Alternate Fridays Diphtheria and Whooping Cough
Immunisation.

The figures for Penrhyn Avenue include attendances at the
Higham Hill and Priory Court Health Services Clinic during
the two weeks of the year following 14th December, when
Penrhyn Avenue was permanently replaced by the new clinic
premises.
