The following number of premises were dealt with as follows:—
Demolition Orders:
Nil.
Closing Orders:
Nil.
Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1953.
Under the provisions of this Act, Closing Orders were made
in respect of the following premises:—
182 and 184 Boundary Road.
Clearance Areas
In the report for 1956 the position was discussed up to and
including the Parkstone Road and Wyatts Lane Representation,
i.e., Area 6.
In January, 1957, Area 4, i.e., West Street and St. Stephen's Road was confirmed for clearance with four dwellings excluded from the Order. Areas 1—4 included a total of 256 dwellings. The position at the end of 1957 was as follows :—

The Grand total of dwellings in Areas 1—9 is 477.
In June, 1957, 54 new dwellings in the Vallentin Road
Clearance Area were completed and occupied.
