Deaths.— The Registrar-General's classification of causes of
death by sex totals is given.
The total number of deaths in 1956 (1,195) compares with
1,188 in 1955, the respective death rates being 10.2 and 10.0 per
1,000 population.
The comparability factors for Walthamstow are given by the
Registrar-General as follows:—
