The percentage of attendances at "Brookscroft" to the total
of child welfare attendances in the Borough during 1955 was 20.5.
The percentage of new cases at "Brookscroft" to the number of
live births in the Borough was 19.4. These percentages denote that
roughly one'fifth of the child welfare attendances in the Borough
during 1955 were at "Brookscroft," i.e., a proportion consistent
with the fact that there were five welfare centres functioning in
the Borough.

The work done during the calendar year is shown in the following table compiled from information kindly supplied by Miss D. Carter:—
