4. Ambulance Facilities.
These are available from a local depot in Walthamstow which
is administered centrally from Chelmsford, via the Control Centre
at Ilford.
5. Treatment of Scabies and Verminous Conditions.
In April, it was decided that in view of the comparatively few
cases under treatment, the Skin Clinic be closed and placed on a
care and maintenance basis and that arrangements be made with
the Hackney Borough Council for the treatment of Walthamstow
patients at a payment of 7/6d. per attendance. The Clinic was
eventually closed on 1st August, 1953.
