DEATHS
The following table shows the maternal mortality, stillbirth and neo'natal death rates for the past five years:-

The stillbirth rate per 1,000 population was 0.32.
Of the 1,539 local registrations, 421 belonging to other areas
are excluded, leaving a net total of 1,118. There were no nonnotified
births during 1953.
