Both Day Nurseries are approved for training in the care of
children aged 0-5 years. Both have 60 places.
Training.—Seven pupils sat for the Nursery Nurses' Certificate
in 1952 and six passed. Three proceeded to take up general
hospital training and three became Nursery School Assistants.
Two gave up training because of financial circumstances and
domestic circumstances respectively.
Towards the end of the year, electric washing machines and
drying cabinets were installed at both Day Nurseries. The installation
has been a success, but a final assessment of the saving has
not yet been made.
NURSERIES AND CHILD MINDERS (REGULATION)
