Of the 1,553 local registrations, 397 belonging to other areas are excluded, leaving a net total of 1,156. There were no non-notified births during 1952.

B-—GENERAL PROVISION OF HEALTH SERVICES
IN THE AREA
1. Public Health Officers of the Authority
The names and qualifications of the officers employed by the
Authority were given at the beginning of the 1951 Report. The
changes during 1952 are specified at the beginning of this Report
and all are whole-time officers unless otherwise stated.
2. Laboratory Facilities
Laboratory investigations are done at the Public Health
Laboratory, at St. Margaret's Hospital, Epping. There is a morning
collection Mondays to Fridays, with a special collection on
Saturdays on request. Specimens are taken by van to the Laboratory
at Epping. There is a collecting box at the Town Hall for
specimens from familv doctors.
Dr. Frank Marsh, Pathologist in charge of the Laboratory at
Epping, has kindly supplied the following information in regard
to work done for Walthamstow:—
