The death rate from Diarrhoea and Enteritis in children under
one year of age per 1,000 live births was 0.7.
The table showing the classification of infant deaths is given
in the section of the report dealing with the care of mothers and
young children (Section 22).

MATERNAL MORTALITY

During 1952 there were three deaths classified as being due to pregnancy, childbearing or associated therewith. The details are included in the following table:—
