HEALTH CENTRES
(Section 21)
HEALTH CENTRE SITES
The earmarking of sufficient and satisfactory Health Centre
Sites has proved to be a difficult problem in a built-up area like
Walthamstow, where conveniently situated sites of sufficient size
are at a premium, having regard to the need for housing sites.
Originally some 14 sites were considered in conjunction with
the representatives of the various professions which are to use them.
At the time of writing, 9 remaining sites are being considered,
which have been inspected and reported upon. At the moment
they await the final approval of the Borough Council before
submission to the Health Area Sub-Committee.
