RATS AND MICE DESTRUCTION ACT, 1919
AND INFESTATION ORDER, 1943
Two trained Rodent Operatives continue to be engaged in
the important work of rodent repression in private dwellings and
business premises.
The methods adopted are those recommended by the Ministry
of Agriculture and Fisheries (Infestation Control Division) and
the Council are participants in the Ministry's Scheme as outlined
in Local Authority Circulars Nos. N.S. 1921.
Pre-baiting and poison baiting methods have proved to be a
success.
The following is a summary of the work undertaken during
the year:—
