TREATMENT
(a) Orthopaedic.—The facilities provided by the Education
Authority's Orthopaedic Scheme are available for all children
attending the Welfare Centres.
Miss Garratt, C.S.P., has kindly furnished the following
information with respect to children under five years of age:—

(b) Dental.—The following work has been done by the
Education Authority's Dental Surgeons in respect of Maternity and
Child Welfare patients:—

(c) Tonsils and Adenoids.—Children are treated under the
arrangements made by the Education Authority with the
Connaught Hospital.
(d) Ophthalmic Defects and Minor Ailments.—Children are
given treatment either at the School Clinics or by special
appointment.
(e) Sunlight.—80 infants were referred for sunlight treatment
during 1948.
(f) Child Guidance.—Arrangements exist for children under
five years of age to be referred to the Education Authority's Child
Guidance Clinic.
