PUERPERAL PYREXIA
Thirty cases of Puerperal Pyrexia were notified during 1947.
The notifications were received from the following sources :—
Maternity Hospital 20
Hospitals outside the area 5
General Practitioners 5*
* All were in Hospital or admitted except one.
The Puerperal Pyrexia rate for 1947 was 10.99 per 1,000
births as compared with 12.62 in 1946, and the mortality due to
puerperal sepsis was nil.
