The unsatisfactory samples were from a batch taken in the
month of May. For the other months all were satisfactory.
There is one cowshed in the District and the average number
of cows kept is four.
The number of Retail Purveyors of Milk is 67. The majority
of these are the " general " shop type, and sell milk " as received "
in bottles.
Seventy-two visits were paid to registered dealers during the
year and a satisfactory standard of cleanliness was maintained.
