17. MISCELLANEOUS
(i) Employment of Children.—Eighteen children were
examined by the medical staff.
(ii) Employment of Children in Public Entertainments.—
Three children were examined under these regulations.
(iii) Medical Examinations.—The fallowing examinations were
made during 1946 by the medical staff : Teachers, 50 ; Others, 39.
Medical Examination of Kitchen and Dining Room Staff.—
Your Committee decided that the examination of such staff should
in future include a rectal swab in an endeavour to reduce the risk
of employing disease carriers.
