The stillbirth rate per 1,000 population was 0.59.
Of the 2,333 birth registrations received in the Department
between 5th January, 1946, and 28th December, 1946, a total of
seven were not notified in this area, but some may possibly have
been notified elsewhere. Appropriate action was taken when
necessary.
Of the 2,333 local registrations, 163 belonging to other areas are excluded, leaving a nett total of 2,170.

1942 Report were continued at all Welfare Centres.
