To the Chairman and Members of the
WALTHANSTOR . EDUCATIOIN COMMITTEE.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I beg to submit, herewith, a report on
the School Medical Service for the year 1944.
The nutritional assessments at medical
inspections placed 96.9% in the excellent and normal group,
as compared with 93.7% in 1943. The excellent school meals
scheme contributed materially to the maintenance of adequate
and even improved nutrition.
Cleanliness inspection revealed greater
cleanliness but ringworm, scabies and eye defects were
increased.
I regret to have to record that
Dr.Mary Clarke left your Service on account of ill health.
I have again to thank you for your
consideration and to express my appreciation of the good
work of the Staff.
I am,
Your obedient servant,
A. T . W. POWELL,
School Medical Officer.
