(d) CO-OPERATION OF VOLUNTARY BODIES.
(a) The Invalid Children's Aid Association - Miss D.E.Taylor,
Secretary of the local branch, has kindly contributed the following
report:-
"This past year has shown a marked increase of work at the
Child Guidance Clinic, until the Education Committee decided to
appoint a full time worker.
A decreasing number of medical cases would seem to point to
the fact that rationing and the attacks of V1 and V2 did not affect
the health of those children who remained in Walthamstow too
adversely. Debility and shock following air raid incidents did
occur, and we were able to send urgent cases away for immediate
convalescence. There was a remarkably low incidence of heart
trouble during the whole year.
