GENERAL. PROVISION OF HEALTH SERVICES IN THE AREA.
(a) LABORATORY FACILITIES.- (See I.D.Section).
(b) AMBULANCE FACILITIES.- No change.
MUNICIPAL SERVICE.
Removals Accidents Maternity Total Mileage

346 maternity cases have been removed to Thorpe Coombe
Maternity Hospital.
An ambulance car for the conveyance of sitting cases was in
use from September onwards in addition to the three ambulances.
The four vehicles of the Municipal Ambulance Service were
entirely staffed by Civil Defence Personnel who gave excellent
service.
WHIPPS CROSS HOSPITAL.
Removal of patients is carried out by ambulances attached
to the Hospital.
ST.JOHN AMBULANCE CORPS.
Mr .V.G.Turner, Divisional Superintendent, kindly contributes
the following report:-

Owing to the petrol restrictions, etc., our motor ambulance
transport was suspended in May until the end of the War.
(c) CLINICS AND TREATMENT CENTRES.
FOOT CLINIC.- Total attendances were 9,078, and of these
672 were by new patients, 8,406 were re-attendances by old patients,
The receipts were £443.18.6d.
WOMEN'S CLINIC.- Sessions were held weekly, with one
consultant session monthly.
