Women's Clinic.- Sessions were held weekly, with one consultant
session monthly.
Miss Heler Redway, M.R.C.O.G submits the following report:-
WOMEN'S CLINIC REPORT, 1941.
The total attendances this year were 1,322; this includes
attendances made by 299 new patients.
Since May the Consultants Clinic has not been held as so few
patients have required the services of a Consultant. Sixteen
patients were referred to the south london Hospital for
investigations which could not be carried out at the Women's
Clinic; in five cases patients were admitted for operation.
Twelve patients were referred to the Connaught or other hospitals
for treatment. During the war only urgent cases are generally
admitted for operation. At the present time there is great
reluctance en the part of women t' enter hospital for treatment
as they do not wish to leave their homes and families or rive up
their employment if they are working.
Number of sessions held - 74.
Total attendances made by patients:New - 299; Old - 1023.
