Eight deaths were reported due to pregnancy, childbirth
or associated therewith. Of these,five were abortionsthree
illegal and two natural. Of the other three cases
two refused advice as to hospital treatment The certified
causes of death are given below:-

The Registrar General allocates Nos.4,6,7 to classification 29 - Puerperal & Post abortive sepsis.
Nos.1,2, 5,5,8 " " 30 - Other maternal causes.
