(j) Tuberculosis.—The number of school children examined
during the year was: boys 55 and girls 60, of which 12 boys and
11 girls were referred by the School Medical Staff. 24 of the cases
were sent by private practitioners, and 68 were examined as
contacts.
At the end of the year the live register of notified cases of school
age was: Pulmonary 36, Non-Pulmonary 46.
(k) Artificial Sunlight Treatment.—The arrangements with
the Connaught Hospital detailed in the 1936 report were continued.
Two children of school age were referred for treatment, and
a total of 29 treatments was given at a total cost of £2 18s. Od.
