PUERPERAL PYREXIA.
Thirty-eight cases of Puerperal Pyrexia were notified during
1939. The notifications were received from the following sources:—
Maternity Hospital, 26; Hospitals outside the area, 3; and General
Practitioners, 9,
The Puerperal Pyrexia rate for 1939 was 22.1 per 1,000 births,
and the mortality due to Puerperal Sepsis was 5.2 per cent. of the
cases of Puerperal Pyrexia notified.
The Registrar-General has issued the following rates with
regard to the notification of Puerperal Pyrexia. The Walthamstow
