The death-rate from Diarrhoea and Enteritis in children under
one year of age per 1,000 live births was 6-18.
CHILD WELFARE.
The equivalent of whole-time Municipal Health Visitors at
the end of the year was 7.0, equal to one whole-time Health Visitor
per 271 notified births, and one whole-time Health Visitor per 231
registered births during 1938.
The following table gives a list of the current Ante-Natal and
Welfare Clinics:—
