The 17 in-patients spent a total of 320 days in hospital. In
addition, 26 out-patients made 34 attendances.
The Council made a grant of £30 to the Hospital.
(e) Hospitals.—There were no changes during 1938 in the
Hospital services used by the inhabitants of the Borough.
Public Assistance in Walthamstow is provided by the Southwestern
Area Guardian Committee of the Essex County Council
which retains a certain proportion of beds in each of the local
