RESEARCH.
Nutrition of Expectant and Nursing Mothers.—Since
March this year the Hospital has taken part in the People's League
of Health research on the nutrition of expectant and nursing mothers
in relation to maternal mortality and morbidity.
Each alternate patient attending the Ante-Natal Clinic has
been provided with a supply of accessory food factors throughout
pregnancy; these being given free of cost by the People's League
of Health.
I am unable to make any report on the results of this treatment
until the investigation is completed.
