(v) Brookfield Orthopaedic Hospital.—The Orthopaedic
Scheme continues to depend for a great deal of its success on Brookfield
Hospital, which was provided by voluntary effort up to
December 1st, when the Hospital was taken over by the Essex
County Council. It is a hospital school recognised by the Board of
Education and the Ministry of Health. Thirty beds are provided.

and operations done during 1936 as follows
