"The outstanding features of the year's progress have Been the
co-operation of the assistant medical officers at the monthly consultations,
and the closer liaison with the Infant Welfare Centres.
"Minor orthopaedic conditions have therefore been diagnosed
earlier than in the past, their supervision made more easy, and
the time taken over their cure much shorter.
"The staff of masseuses is now three in number, Miss Garratt,
Miss Hill and Miss Taylor, all working on a part-time basis.
Should the work increase much more, then it may be wise to suggest
the appointment of an extra part time worker, particularly as the
holding of extra consultations by the Orthopaedic Surgeon has
already been found necessary.
