(b) School Journeys.—The following school journeys were made
during the year:—

(c) School Camps.- The following particulars are taken from
the report to your Authority by your Director of Education:—
"As in previous years, school camps were held at St. Helens
(Boys) and Sandown (Girls) during May, June and July. The
selection of children was made on grounds of poverty and ill-nourishment
and, in accordance with the recommendation of the Committee
last year, a questionnaire was addressed to parents as to means,
opportunity for holiday, health and habits of the children. Very
few criticisms of the method of selection were made, although some
children and parents must always be disappointed.

"Girls' Camp.—The girls attended in groups of 48 under 4 teachers
at The Firs, Sandown. This hostel is well adapted to give the
girls a good home life and the food and attendance were highly
praised by all the teachers in charge.
