The attendances at the monthly sessions at the end of the year
had increased to 25 so that in February 1933 the olinios were
duplicated and arei now held on the first and third Wednesdays in
each month at 2.0 p.m.
The increasing co-operation of private practitioners was a
feature during 1932 and it is to be hoped that this co-operation
will continue, more particularly with regard to the reference of
consultative ante-natal cases. Another feature was the number of
appreciative letters received by the Consultant from both doctors
and patients.
Mrs. Ivens-Knowles kindly reports as follows:—
"The Walthamstow Women's Clinic, opened in November, 1931,
has been attended during 1932 by 80 new patients, and 215 attendances
have been made. The numbers are steadily increasing.
"Twenty per cent. of the cases have been sent by their doctors
for advice in respect of abnormal conditions of pregnancy, for
sterility, gynaecological disorders, or for contraceptive information
and treatment on medical grounds. Four patients who attended
for gynaecological ailments were found to be also suffering from
diabetes, and were referred to hospital for full investigation and
insulin treatment.
