A further table gives particulars of the details given in the
various notifications received. Thus, of the 26 cases, a total of
9 were notified from Hospitals outside the area, i.e., 8 from the
Mothers' Hospital, Clapton (where the confinements had been
carried out) and 1 from the City of London Hospital.
The puerperal fever and pyrexia rate during 1932 was 13.8 per
1,000 births, whilst the fatality due to puerperal sepsis was 7.7 per
cent, of cases of fever and pyrexia notified.
