The following tables give details of the 41 cases of Puerperal Fever and Pyrexia during 1931 by ages, Wards and months:—

A further table gives particulars of the details given in the
various notifications received. Thus, of the 41 cases, a total of 13
were notified from Hospitals outside the area, i.e., 11 from the
Mothers' Hospital, Clapton (where the confinements had been
carried out) and 2 from Whipps Cross Hospital, following confinement
in Walthamstow.
Four cases were notified from Nursing Homes in the Borough
leaving 24 notifications of Pyrexia following confinements at homes
