(I) ENCEPHALITIS LETHARGICA.
Two cases, both females resident in the Hale End Ward, and
aged 26 and 33 years, were notified. One case was removed to
Hospital and recovered. The other case died at home.
(J) CEREBRO-SPINAL MENINGITIS.
One case, aged 6 years and resident in Higham Hill Ward,
was notified and removed to Hospital.
(K) CHICKEN POX.
The compulsory notification of all cases of Chicken Pox was
continued during 1931 up to 1st November, 1931, when the Walthamstow
(Chicken Pox) Regulations, 1931, came into force. The
effect of the Regulations was to exclude from notification vaccinated
cases under 10 years of age.
