The percentage vaccinated during 1931 represented 16.7 of
the births registered against 18.0 during 1930. There were 1,886
primary and 1,802 revaccinations in 1930, the decrease during 1931
being probably almost entirely due to the lowered incidence of
Smallpox.
The number of vaccinations done by your Medical Staff was
10 primary and 11 revaccinations.

Detailed vaccinal returns were obtained in respect of the three school outbreaks and the findings were as follows:—

(B) SCARLET FEVER.
The total incidence of Scarlet Fever during 1931 amounted
to 451 cases, as compared with 607 during 1930.
The weekly incidence was remarkably constant throughout the
year. Thus, while the average incidence was 8.5 per week, the
highest was 18 and the lowest 2. At no time was there any epidemic
prevalence.
