are entirely voluntary. Our headquarters at Willow Walk, High
Street, are open both day and night for the service of the public.
We have also a sub-station at Highams Park doing valuable work
and another station on the Epping Road during week-ends and
holidays and in the summer months.
"During 1931, the number of cases receiving First Aid treatment
was 1,811, and the number of cases removed to hospitals 1,057.
Mileage incurred by Motor Ambulance in these cases was 17,259.
"The number of road accidents in this District receiving treatment
was 226, and the mileage incurred on these cases alone, 1,258.
We have also organised several First Aid classes and also classes in
Home Nursing which have been exceedingly successful, and we
hope of great benefit to those who qualified for certificate and to the
firms by whom they are employed, be it factory or office."
2. Removal of patients to Whipps Cross Hospital is carried
out by the Hospital's Ambulances.
