After the original visit and enquiry in connection with the
above cases, 97 visits of supervision were paid by the Inspector
to see that further and necessary improvements took place in
connection with the children and surroundings, and in the majority

parents, and should any difficulties arise they frequently call at
the local Office of the Society and seek advice, often bringing the
children to show the improvement which has taken place.
Dental Defects.—An account of the work done at the Dental
Clinic will be found on Table IV. Only children under 9 years of
age are treated by the School Dentist except under exceptional
circumstances.
Stammering.—At present those children who stammer are dealt

children so affected in the Area at the moment and a special class
for them is under contemplation.
