Complaints have been made by the workers from time to time
of the unsuitability of the premises, and the provision of an up-todate
Centre has been discussed by the Maternity and Child Welfare
Committee on several occasions.
The greatest difficulty is the provision of a suitable site and
probably during the coming year this will be obtained.
The consultations are still held twice weekly, and the number of
names on the register at the end of the year was 5,582.
The following are the quarterly attendances of children during
the year:—

by the mothers at the lectures delivered on Mothercraft and Infant
Care, and 98 mothers attended the Needlework Classes.
In addition, 265 massages were administered to children for
varying causes.
This Centre continues to do much excellent work, and the
Honorary Physician, Dr. Elliott, and his Staff, voluntary and paid,
are most enthusiastic workers.
The number of cases admitted to the Observation Wards during
the year was thirty-one and of these one was sent by your Authority.
