NEONATAL MORTALITY.- The death-rate of infants under four
weeks of age is known as the Neonatal Mortality. There were 23 deaths of
infants under four weeks of age during 1964 and the rate for the year was
7.7 per 1,000 live births.

ILLEGITIMATE BIRTHS AND DEATHS.- 168 of the live births
registered (82 males and 86 females) were illegitimate, that is 5.6% of
the births registered.
There were three deaths of illegitimate children under one year of age.
