DISTRIBUTION OF NATIONAL WELFARE FOODS.- The distribution
of National Welfare Foods (National dried milk, orange juice, cod
liver oil and vitamin tablets) to beneficiaries has continued to be the
responsibility of the Local Health Authorities under the National Health
Service. With a view to effecting economy and cohesion in the service
this work has been fully integrated with that of the distribution of nutrients
and medicaments which has been in operation in the maternity and child
welfare service for many years.
