NEONATAL MORTALITY. - The death-rate of infants under
four weeks of age is known as the Neonatal Mortality. There were 38
deaths of infants under four weeks of age during 1960 and the rate for the
year was 15.1 per 1,000 live births.

ILLEGITIMATE BIRTHS AND DEATHS. - 95 of the live births
registered (45 males and 50 females) were illegitimate, that is 3.8% of
the births registered.
There were no deaths of illegitimate children under one year of
age.
