REHABILITATION OF TUBERCULOSIS CASES.- No
cases required assistance in the maintenance charges at a
rehabilitation settlement during 1959.
OPEN-AIR SHELTERS FOR TUBERCULOSIS CASES.
One open-air shelter supplied for a tuberculosis patient
during 1958, continued in use throughout 1959.
PROVISION OF FREE MILK FOR TUBERCULOSIS
CASES. - The County Council's scheme for supplying to
tuberculosis patients one pint of milk per day free of charge,
on the recommendation of the Chest Physician, showed a
further decline during 1959. Particulars of the grants made
in 1959 are given below:-

BOARDING-OUT OF CHILDREN (TUBERCULOSIS
CONTACTS).- No applications were received in 1959 for
assistance in the boarding-out of child contacts of tuberculosis
patients under the County Council's scheme.
ILFORD TUBERCULOSIS CARE ASSOCIATION. - Mr.
H.R. Stanbridge, a member of the Ilford Health Area Office
staff, continued to undertake the secretarial work of this
Association during 1959.
